Our dogs are our pets
and live on an
8 acre horse ranch. They receive lots of
attention and plenty of room to run. We believe young pups need room to
"romp" and
plenty of love to develop and thrive.
All pups come with an AKC
Registration Application, tails docked and dew claws removed, first
vaccinations and de-worming.
We don't
ship our dogs
As
experienced, reputable breeders
we believe we are producing the best quality
companions which conform to the
Breed Standard. Our dogs can
perform the work for which the
breed was intended with good aptitude,
and health!

TESTIMONIAL
& PICTURES FROM PUPPY OWNERS
PRIOR
LITTER
Grant reports: I am
absolutely in love with Govy (Government
Camp), and the first year with him has been
nothing like anything I've done. He's always
my lil buddy who's happy to see me on my best
and worst days no matter what. He's really
birdy, has a strong point, and is not gun
shy at all, he loves when I'm packing up the
truck and my guns. Everywhere I go I always
get compliments on how beautiful he is. On
his birthday this month he weighed 62lbs and
is 27" at the shoulders with more to grow.
I've been watching your website looking at
how similar Gov is to Anna (his mom).

Male
v
Female
Males vs. Females - Same breed, different
characteristics.
While
each dog has it's own personality AND there
are no absolutes - the following is a
"guide" of some common traits in this breed
between sexes.
|
|
Females : Truths
-
Females can be more independent and
self sufficient than males.
-
Tougher - they are more willing to
ignore bad weather, injury, etc. in
pursuit of game.
-
More territorial and protective, and
are more vocal towards strangers.
-
Can be affectionate, they are more
likely to be owner possessive.
-
In homes with male dogs and female
dogs, the female is always dominant.
-
Potty training is more likely to
become a test of wills or an
instrument of spite for a female.
-
Mature at a younger age and are
ready to focus on obedience or other
types of training sooner than males.
-
Can be more personal and sly about
their aggravation, such as chewing
shoes, your bed pillow, your
toothbrush and then hiding them.
|
Females : False
|
Males : Truths
-
Very affectionate and loyal.
-
Bigger
"babies" than females. They are more
sensitive emotionally and more apt
to complain about physical
discomfort.
-
More vocal concerning meal time,
exercise time, and homecoming. While
they can be stubborn, they are
somewhat more eager to please.
-
House-train
fairly quickly and are less likely
to make potty training a tool for
manipulation.
-
Will
let you know they are unhappy
openly. Some
examples are tearing up the sofa,
destroying the phone book, walking
by with your favorite plant in his
mouth, etc.
-
Neutered males take a long time to
mature (if ever). They can be very
goofy and fun, but they can also
take a little more persistence for
advanced training.
|
Males :
False
-
Males are aggressive and nasty.
-
Males are more protective and
territorial than females.
-
Males mark (pee) on everything.
